Measurement on Radiation Dosage

Providing overall services from sampling to reporting

High reliability is needed regarding analysis and measurement to resolve environmental issues, such as radiation, air quality, water quality, soil, noise, vibration, and offensive odors. Results of various environmental measurement have huge social impact, and assurance of reliability is required even internationally. In this context, SHINYEI-OYO can provide overall serivices from sampling to reporting.

OYO is the one which measured radiation dosage from the sky just after the Great East Japan Earthquake. The radiation gauges were originally equipped for measuring natural radiation dosage. This project was ordered as “Investigation on Circumstances of Radiation Diffusion Using Aircrafts for Environmental Monitoring in a Wide Area” by Japan Atomic Energy Agency, a governmental agency under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. OYO measured spatial radiation dose rate of cesium 134/137 at a height of 150-300m (500-1,000ft) with using a helicopter. The results are disclosed at the website of Nuclear Regulation Authority.

OYO is applying a patent on agauge for rapid radiation measurement which should be used in waste disposal sites.
